Sean Duffy tells wife she 'looked better' when she worked out on TV (2024)

Fox News host Sean Duffy divided viewers after he told wife Rachel Campos-Duffy she 'looked better' when she was doing Jillian Michaels' workout routine on Fox News.

Duffy, a former star of MTV's The Real World and at one time a Congressman representing Wisconsin, was appearing with his wife and the mother of his nine children in a pop culture segment.

They were discussing workout guru Michaels' appearance on Sage Steele's podcast when Duffy made the aside.

'By the way, you never look better when you were doing the Jillian Michaels [workout],' Duffy joked.

Campos-Duffy, who gave birth to the couple's ninth child in 2019, pointed out their friendship with Michaels.

Fox News host Sean Duffy created a funny moment on air with wife Rachel Campos-Duffy when he pointed out how she 'never looked better' than she did when doing the Jillian Michaels workout

'I did to do a workout, and I did get with [Michaels], and we had her on,' Campos-Duffy said.

'She's like, you got to get back on it, Rachel, and I do. I do. I got to do it,' she added.

Some saw the segment as Duffy being disrespectful to his wife and tried to boil it down to politics.

'Sean Duffy told his wife on the air that she looked better when she worked out and aren't Republicans nice to their wives,' wrote one user on X.

Duffy, 52, was the GOP representative for Wisconsin's 7th District from 2011 to 2019 before joining Fox News.

'Misogyny is normalized on FOX,' wrote another.

'I would've told him he looked better before he opened his mouth! Just zip it dude,' added another user.

The couple, who met fellow Real World's Campos-Duffy on a season of MTV's 90s reality show, Road Rules, were married in 1999.
